The reference was drawn by the manufacture's internal design office, where case, dial and movement architects work alongside the watchmakers rather than as an outside commission.
Historical significance
Ming 20 Series 44 mm Slate Carbon sits within Ming's 20 Series line, introduced in 2017. It carries the house codes established since 2017 — carbon tpt case, slate grey dial and micro-rotor automatic — and is one of the references collectors use to date the evolution of the collection.
Interesting facts
- Early production dials show a slightly different minute track, and collectors pay a premium for them.
- The case is finished by hand, alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces in a single pass so the edges stay razor sharp.

Brand history
Ming has spent more than 9 years refining a single idea: a watch should outlive its owner. Ming Thein established Ming in 2017, working from Malaysia at a time when precision was measured by hand. The founder's obsession with finishing and accuracy still defines every Ming calibre produced today.
