The Santos predates the wristwatch boom by a decade: a square case, exposed screws on the bezel and a leather strap at a time when men carried watches in a pocket.

The 2018 relaunch added QuickSwitch strap release and SmartLink bracelet sizing without tools, while keeping the beaded crown set with a synthetic spinel.
